The oceans battens have a rectangular shape, which means that all the fibres on the tension/compression surfaces are taken an even load.
All our ocean battens are made from a special epoxy resin matrix which gives rigidity and flexibility to the profile. Our sailbattens have a very high glass reinforcement and are pulltruded under extreme high pressure, resulting in a maximum stiffness of the sailbatten.
Each sailbatten is tapered with our computer controlled custom made shaping machine to provide quality and repeatability.
We can create an extremely soft tip (0,7 mm) on our sailbatten without the risk of breaking.
Each sailbatten is finished with Protection Kote.
Protection Kote is a very light heatshrink wrapping which protect the sailbatten.
The result is a stronger and smoother sailbatten.
